Hilos Program
Corazón de Esperanza is reaching out to women and children in an impoverished area near Huanchaco, Perú. This project called “Hilos” (formerly “Mujeres Virtuosas”) provides women with the opportunity to learn new skills and bring an income to their families. We provide a variety of classes to the women including: cooking, knitting, sewing, Bible studies and parenting classes.
At the same time, Bible lessons, crafts and games are provided for the children of these women. On a case by case basis, case management, medical and other supportive services are also provided to families who are experiencing a crisis or significant challenge.
We partner with churches and organizations to build awareness of the challenges faced in Perú and provide opportunities for service with our ministry in the United States and in Perú.
