Our project, Hogar Luz de Vida, is partnering with Buckner International and TOMS to distribute shoes for thousands of children living in orphanages and rural areas throughout Northern Peru. Today our Peru staff received a shipment of 3,000 pairs of shoes for the Libertad District of Peru and spent the afternoon sorting them for distribution. In a few weeks, many orphanages will line up at Hogar Luz de Vida to receive new shoes for the children living within their walls, some of them never having the blessing of owning a new pair of shoes.
